Elle is passionate about art and styling her home into a colourful and bold sanctuary for her family of three in their home near Melbourne, Australia.
Elle grew up in a creative family between a farm in rural New South Wales and remote communities in the Northern Territory. She uses a combination of brush and palette knife using acrylic on canvas, and every now and again you will catch a glimpse of metallic gold leaf and oil stick in order to create a lush and unique mixed media work.
Elle’s paintings are all about conjuring a sense of connectedness to the land, using colour and shape to evoke emotion, memory and a sense of place. She hopes that her paintings will add colour to the homes they live in and bring happiness to all those who see them.
As part of this group exhibition Elle has included three pieces from her collection 'Patterns + Places' inspired by her trip to Pakistan earlier this year. Exploring the many roadside stalls of pottery and flowers she saw in her travels.
